Superstar of the Month Featuring SOCCER SUPERSTARS!!

Congratulations to NICHOLAS MOHNACKY for winning the August SuperStar of the Month - GREEN WARRIORS!!!

The 6 Finalists for the September Soccer Superstar of the Month are listed below. Please come back daily to vote for your favorite.

----->Aiden McCauley, an 8-and-under player in the Boynton AYSO, is the epitome of a leader both on and off the field, always making sure he does whatever he can not only to help his team win every game, but to make sure soccer is fun regardless of the score. When his coach had to pick four of the team’s six players to start their first game, everyone knew Aiden was a lock—until Aiden realized how much it would mean to one of his benched teammates to get to take the field from the beginning. Later, when no one wanted to take the goalie position, Aiden stepped up and defended the net with everything he had. Aiden’s decisions to sit out and play out of position show that, unlike some top players, he knows that a sport like soccer is about the team and everyone on it.

----->Rabie Talib, a 28 year old Morrocon born player now based in Palm Beach, played for the Rabat for three years on their junior team. In his third year, they won the title and he was able to travel with the team to Europe. After that victory, Rabie moved to the U.S. and attended John Leonard High School where he continued to play for the school’s team. In January, 2011, Rabie will be playing in Washington DC, East Coast Soccer Tournament with his fellow teammates from the Palm Beach Lions.

----->Melissa Ortiz began her high school years at The King's Academy and later graduated from Cardinal Newman as an International Bachelorette earning numerous awards including team MVP, Two-time Palm Beach Post & Sun-Sentinel First Team All-County, and several times elected as Palm Beach Post and Sun-Sentinel Athlete of the Week. Melissa's high school goal total was 91 goals and 32 assists. This past summer, Melissa earned her biggest achievement yet. She was selected to represent the Colombian National Team in the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Germany! Melissa scored her first International goal on her debut game against host country Germany. Colombia ended the tournament finishing in 4th place.

----->Blake Erdmann – Goalkeeper, has performed admirably in goal for his team - shows great courage and great positive attitude.
